Dog Vaccines Prices
We offer incredibly affordable dog vaccine prices at all of our Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio locations! Our prices are always transparent – there are NO extra exam, office visit, medical waste, or any other fees associated with your visit. Our team will work with you to make sure your pet is receiving the care they need at a price you can afford!
$10 – Rabies
Texas law requires cats and dogs receive the Rabies vaccine. Depending on your city requirements (and what Rabies vaccine you get), your dog or cat needs the Rabies vaccine every 3 years or every year. Low Cost Pet Vax provides the one-year Rabies vaccine only.
$28 – DHPP (Distemper/Parvovirus Combo)
The DHPP vaccination is one of the most important vaccinations we provide. We see many puppies and even cases of older dogs suffering from parvovirus. Parvovirus is a deadly disease that is extremely contagious, and present in many areas of DFW and San Antonio. When dogs get the DHPP vaccination for the first time, they need a booster in a month. We recommend the DHPP vaccination yearly for nearly all pets living in Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio (Parvovirus hotbeds).
$20 – Leptospirosis
Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease spread through water contaminated by carriers. It is a deadly disease that all mammals are susceptible to, including humans. All dogs should receive the Leptospirosis vaccination yearly as not only is this disease deadly to dogs of all ages and breeds, but it can also spread to their owners and cause liver and kidney damage.
$18 – Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
Bordetella is a highly contagious disease. Commonly known as kennel cough, Bordetella is not considered lethal. However, most dog kennels and groomers will require the vaccination to prevent the spread of this common condition. We recommend yearly vaccination, most importantly for pets who are around other dogs throughout the year, either at dog parks, on walks, or at a boarder/groomer.
$43 – Canine Flu
Canine Influenza is not one of our core vaccines, but we recommend it for pets that travel. We also occasionally experience outbreaks in various areas of Texas, due to widespread movement of unvaccinated dogs. Currently, we recommend vaccinating against canine influenza if your dog will be exposed to other dogs. We have had recent outbreaks and canine influenza can be costly to treat and is highly contagious.
Heartworm Preventative Prices
$29 – Heartworm Test
We require a heartworm test before prescribing heartworm preventative. The test takes a few minutes to run and will determine the presence of adult heartworms in your dog’s system.
$35/$40/$45 – Heartworm Prevention (Triheart Plus)
If your dog tests negative for heartworms, we recommend one of our heartworm prevention options. We carry several products on-site, along with offering other products such as Trifexis which we can ship to your address. Triheart Plus is an affordable heartworm preventative product that we carry on site, which protects against both heartworms and other intestinal worms such as hookworms and roundworms. The price varies based off of how much your pet weighs.
NOTE: Triheart Plus does NOT protect against tapeworms, which pets can get by eating a flea.
$45/$60/$125/$155+- Heartworm Prevention (Proheart 6)
Proheart 6 is an injectable heartworm preventative that lasts 6 months. It’s a more convenient alternative to traditional heartworm prevention products that you must give your pet every 30 days in order to be effective. Dogs on Proheart 6 also don’t need heartworm tests after the first two negative results.* We send out reminders once your dog is due for Proheart, so you can easily and conveniently keep your dog up to date with heartworm preventative.
NOTE: Proheart 6 must be given every 6 months to completely protect your dog from heartworms. If given late, we do require a heartworm test before the next time Proheart is given.
